The NSS and Red Ribbon Club of Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town Ludhiana organised Free Complete Blood Count Test (CBC) in collaboration with Shri Krishna Charitable Hospital, Model Town, Ludhiana. The camp was organised keeping in view the mounting blood deficiency in young girls leading to anaemia and other related diseases. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal & President S. Gurbir Singh inaugurated the event. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal stressed upon leading a quality and healthy life by remaining aware of the deficiencies of the body. She urged the students to undergo routine body check up atleast twice an year in order to maintain the overall health of the body. Prof. (Dr.) S. S. Mahal, Trustee, Guru Nanak Education Trust graced the occasion. He extolled the philanthropic spirit of the team of Shri Krishna Charitable Hospital in organising a free complete blood count for the students, teaching and non- teaching faculty. Dr. Reena Garg, Pathologist, Shri Krishna Charitable Hospital motivated the students to undergo full blood exam that gives complete information about the good and the bad cells in our body. The event saw a huge participation from the students and the faculty – a step towards a better living!
