  1. The institution offers 17 Post Graduate, 9 Under Graduate, 8 Vocational Diplomas and 12 Add-on Courses.
  2. College Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal was felicitated with the honour of ‘Sports Promoter’ at the Panjab University Annual Prize Distribution Function on 30th March 2016. In addition, 4 sports stars of the college were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1,70,500/-.
  3. The College bagged 200 Top Ten University positions in the Panjab University Annual/Semester Examinations 2014-15.
  4. Sports champions of the college clinched 180 medals including 70 Gold, 65 Silver and 45 Bronze medals in the session 2015-2016 at various tournaments in diverse fields such as baseball, athletics, judo, softball, badminton, wrestling, wushu, kickboxing, ball badminton, weightlifting and power lifting at International, National, State, District, University and Inter University levels.
  5. Sports girls of the college brought laurels by bringing home Panjab University Judo Championship for the 11th time consecutively alongwith the Panjab University Canoeing Championship, Ludhiana District School Judo Championship and Ludhiana District Open Athletics Championship.
  6. Our ace judoka Vinita brought laurels to the college by representing India in the Junior Asian Judo Championship held at Bangkok from 9th – 12th October 2015.
  7. 15 assiduous sports champions of the college were honoured by the Punjab Government on the Birth Anniversary of the hockey legend Sh. Dhyan Chand on 29th August 2015 at PAU, Ludhiana with a cash prize of Rs. 6 Lacs.
  8. The college students proved their mettle by clinching the overall trophy at AAFTAAB-2015 organized by PIMT, Gobindgarh and at EHSAAS-2015 organized by PCTE Baddowal, Ludhiana.
  9. Our seasoned orators Harshpreet Kaur of B.Sc. III, Suvidha Jethi of Msc I and Ashwjit Kaura of BSc III won the prestigious 1st, 3rd and Consolation prizes respectively at the A.C. Bali memorial Declamation contest held at Panjab University, Chandigarh.
  10. At Annual Convocation of Panjab University, Chandigarh our eloquent orators Ashwjit Kaura of B.Sc III and Kanika Chaudhary of B.A III were awarded with ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ and cash prize of Rs. 3000/- and Rs. 2000/- respectively for clinching second and third position in the highly acclaimed K.K. Grover Goodwill Declamation Contest.
  11. The ingenious speakers Prabhsimran Kaur of B.Sc. II and Suvidha Jethi of M.Sc. I bagged consolation prizes in The Tribune Inter-College Debate Competition held at Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana on 8th March, 2016 with a cash prize of Rs.2500/- each.

The college has an imposing four-storeyed building comprising an entire Arts wing, a high-tech four-storeyed Science/Fashion Designing Block and a four-storeyed academic wing housing the Commerce, Management, Computer Science, Punjabi, History, Political Science, Sociology faculties, four-storeyed block for IGNOU Study Centre, two-storeyed block for PG Courses of English & PGDMC, four-storeyed Cafeteria building and three-storeyed Fashion Designing block.

  16. The college infrastructure is facilitated with a 200 seated centrally air-conditioned Conference Hall. The hall has a digital bidirectional conference system with HD projectors.

A hi-tech air-conditioned server room with 6 servers, LAN, Domain Controller, Additional Domain Controller, LINUX, Proxy Server, Anti-Virus Admin Console and 236 plus computers in all, working round the clock for monitoring and managing all the routine activities, including intra-mail and intra-net facilities with a view to implement the concept of corporate sector and paperless officework.

  19. The college runs IGNOU Study Centre (2206) offering 202 courses and is the only centre in the Punjab Region to have an EDUSAT installed for tele-conferencing.
  20. The NSS, NCC, Red Ribbon Club & Youth Red Cross Society of the College continuously extend education and service to the community in the form of Blood Donation Camps, Adult Education, Tree Plantation etc.

  23. A modern Hostel that accommodates 1000 students and provides air condition facility to approximately 250 students is equipped with 150 rooms, 3 Reading Halls, 3 Recreation Halls, Gymnasium, air-cooled Dining Hall, Cafeteria and modern stylish wash rooms.

  25. The illustrious students of the college outnumbered others at the Panjab University Inter-Zonal and Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival wherein 59 students clinched the first three positions respectively in various competitions.
  26. The students of our college brought home a huge array of prizes at the various Inter-college competitions held in this session. The cozy symbiosis of the students resulted in clinching a whopping 120 plus positions till date in the different disciplines of Music, Fine Arts, Home Science, Poetical Recitation, Debate, Creative Writing, Elocution, Declamation, Quiz, Dance etc.
  27. Dance Department organized 8-Days Dance Workshop with Padma Shree Awardee Dance Guru Dr. Roop Singh Shekhawat from 6th-13th August 2015.
  28. Apart from this, each teaching department of the college organized a minimum of three seminars/ extension lectures in their respective fields with a view to provide quality education to young aspirants in a stimulating environment of independent thinking and innovation in various disciplines.
  29. Gurbir Singh, President, Guru Nanak Education Trust presided over the Annual Athletic Meet that was flagged off on 20th January, 2016 and concluded on 21st January, 2016.
  30. 847 meritorious students were honoured by S. Gurbir Singh, President, Guru Nanak Education Trust for their superlative achievements in academics and para-academics at the Annual Prize Distribution Function held on 31st January, 2016.
  31. Ravneet Singh Bittu, Member of Parliament, Ludhiana Parliamentary Constituency was the Hon’ble Chief Guest at the annual carnival Fashion Flora ’16 held on 13th February 2016.
  32. (Dr.) Deepak Manmohan Singh, Senior Fellow, Punjabi University, Patiala and Former Dean, College Development Council, Punjab University, Chandigarh was the Hon’ble Chief Guest at the Convocation- 2016 held on 31.03.16 wherein 424 PG degrees, 570 UG degrees,76 College Colour and 16 Roll of Honour were awarded to the distinguished students.
